Troy's annual ChowderFest takes place Downtown in the Marina District, just North of the Green Island Bridge and brings together over 20 local restaurants to compete for the title of Best Local Chowder in various categories.
Festival attendees are encouraged to come hungry and early to sample many different varieties of chowder and vote for their favorite.
Here's the formula:
$1 = 1 Chowder Sample.
Sample tickets will be available at ticket booths located on the north and south ends of River Street. Buy as many tickets as you like - each ticket can be redeemed at the booth of a competitor for a 3 oz cup of chowder. For every 5 tasting tickets you buy, you will receive one voting ticket. When you've tasted all that you can, drop your voting ticket in the marked bucket at your favorite team's booth. Each team will be handing out 30 gallons of chowder, so there will be plenty to go around...but...we ALWAYS run out by about 3pm...so be sure to come early!!!

While there will be music all day long during the festival, and of course, activities for the kids. All in all, a great day to visit Downtown Troy!!!
