Fourth Annual Troy ChowderFest
Saturday, October 16th, 2010
11:00AM - 4:00PM (or when the chowder runs out!!)
Troy's annual ChowderFest takes place in the 400 block of River Street and brings together over 30 local restaurants to compete for the title of Best Local Chowder in various categories.
Festival attendees are encouraged to come hungry and early to sample many different varieties of chowder and vote for their favorite.
Here's the formula:
$1 = 1 Chowder Sample.
Sample tickets will be available at ticket booths located on the north and south ends of River Street. Buy as many tickets as you like - each ticket can be redemmed at the booth of a competitor for a 3oz cup of chowder. For every 5 tasting tickets you buy, you will receive one voting ticket. When you've tasted all that you can, drop your voting ticket in the marked bucket at your favorite team's booth. Each team will be handing out 30 gallons of chowder, so there will be plenty to go around...but...we ALWAYS run out by about 3pm...so be sure to come early!!!

We will be excited to announce this year's benificiary very, very soon!
To make sure there's something for everyone we're not only having a Judge's Choice and a People's Choice, we've got a few special categories too! There's Best Seafood, Best Vegetarian, and Most Original, so be on the lookout for teams with special chowders.
While there will be music all day long during the festival, and of course, activiteis for the kids. All in all, a great day to visit Downtown Troy!!!
